Sad news about a forum member :(
RIP Sam. I think I only met him once, but my memory of him is that he was one of the genuinely good guys, a solid bloke, a gent. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

I am very sorry to hear this bad news.
I did not met Sam personally, but was writing with him when he was interested in my book and also did buy a copy.
Wish his family all the best.
Rest in Peace !

Awful when we lose someone from the community, enjoyed his regular contributions. Sympathies to Gail and his nearest and dearest.

Just got back from Sam’s funeral.
Was a really nice thing, as these things go. His partner Gail chose NTTC as the entrance music, and Sam was cremated in his Sisters MR 1981 tee.
Some beautiful words spoken, and lots of lovely stories and anecdotes about him shared.
I mentioned that you’d all sent your condolences and it meant a lot to her.
Thanks to everyone for your kind words.

This is horrible news to read, really sad and shocking. He was quite active in the tours forum which is what I read most frequently on here, and he came across as a very nice guy I would have loved to meet and say hi to at a coming gig. Showed great humour and self-distance and a positive vibe in general. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends, I can't imagine the horror losing someone so relatively young in such a short time.

I'm very late seeing this news, but I'm very sorry to read it. He always came across as a real nice guy on the forum, I never met him in person, but I'm sure I would have liked him if I did.
RIP Sam.
