Fcuking bullshiat waste company didn't pick up 2 sacks of recycling last Thursday from the summer home I'm managing.
I even jumped through all the hoops to buy the special branded sacks they insist on which entails producing the sort of paper work that you'd normally need to buy a house!
Been on the phone to them every sodding day since & they still haven't collected it.

I think I've finally reached my Teams call tolerance. Today's conference call just beset by both technical difficulties AND people who don't know what they're doing. Teeth absolutely on edge throughout.
There are currently dozens of active fires around my country. At this moment at least me and my family are safe. My beloved Evia island is on fire and many places i had memories of lie in dust and ruins. I have anger. We have the worst government since the Ottoman occupation of the country. There is no help from anyone. No country send any help except Cyprus. Please send us a good thought. Don't pray for anything. We don't need any prayer. Just if you have had visit Greece in the past, take a look at the pictures you took and send a positive thought to the people you met there. f**k our government. They are the worst scums in the planet earth. Kisses xxx

Thoughts are with you, though some revolutionary zeal and a few tanks might be more helpful to the cause. Our own government is too busy bunging the bbc world service millions of pounds to be too interested in the horrendous plight of near neighbours. It's a bad world, and it's increasingly hard to get by in it, downright fkng impossible for too many.iesus wrote: ↑05 Aug 2021, 20:40 There are currently dozens of active fires around my country. ... ... Loads of good wishes for some thick rain to Greece to put out all those fires from here ... I've been to the wonderful Olympia area long ago. Such a cool and lovely place full of fresh air and water even in the hottest summer. Unfortunately, it was hit by fires already last year ... and now again ... ... best wishes and hugs!!!

thank you all
Steve there are pics and vids that even hollywood couldn't make as horrific.
At Agia Anna is a 5-6 km beach with hills around a small plain and the fire came from all the surrounding hills to the sea while ppl tried to get on small fish boats and go on the open sea... midnight and a tsunami of flames coming at them

I've seen some of the pictures you - and others - have put on Facebook. Wow it's just heartbreaking. And damn scary. Virtual hugs to you.

Heartbreaking indeed. I wish there was something more concrete than hugs I could send, but you're very welcome to as many of those as you need

This is starting to become a bit of a habit. Started a new job in February - loved it, loved the people, my boss, my devs, the work itself. True to form, then, just as I'm thinking "I'm nicely settled here, I could see myself staying for a couple of years at least", they announce this morning that having hired hundreds of people earlier in the year they've now run out of money, there aren't enough sales, and so would about half of us mind awfully fücking off immediately. Fück.
Fair play, my boss was close to tears when she announced it - she'd hired most of us, and she's gutted. She's also been introducing me to all sorts of people on LinkedIn to see me settled somewhere new, so hopefully something new will come along sooner rather than later. Still maximally pîssed-off - my CV is starting to look a bit ropey, the last 3 positions have all been of increasingly short durations, 14 months, 9 months, now 6. I can explain it away - these were all start-ups and start-ups tend to go bang - but on paper I don't look like a good prospect.
Bother.

Any way up i helped the OP and gave the repliant a tiny piece of my mind...

Facebook can go and .... *ahem* insert itself into Zuck's rectal passage.
I decided a few weeks back to take a break from arguing with strangers so I've not been on FB in that time. I don't really miss it.

Pretty f*cked off by rip-off arena tickets.
I was looking at tickets for the Ghost tour next year and the Manchester Arena gig was already sold out of standing tickets when tickets went on sale today at 9am. How can they sell out before they were even on sale? And I'll be f*cked if I'm going to spend £50.50 (plus whatever fees and charges they add on top) to sit down at a gig.

Hmmmmmm so they weren't sold out of standing tickets after all; I've just bought a couple. But the ticketmaster site made me think they were sold out; they didn't show up as available until about an hour after tickets went on sale.
I still don't understand it but I'm a lot less annoyed.

In the Past it's been the 'bots' belonging to those Ripoff Reseller Websites that would snap them all up instead of us Fans.markfiend wrote: ↑26 Nov 2021, 11:26 Hmmmmmm so they weren't sold out of standing tickets after all; I've just bought a couple. Maybe by delaying those Tickets availability a bit, it stops 'em going to the Touts?

its the same with all arena acts these days. when someone like Gaga plays you have literallly an hour to buy a handful of s**t seats at original prices from the venue itself before all the legal touts have got them and put a multiplier of 7x on the face value.Big Si wrote: ↑26 Nov 2021, 21:31In the Past it's been the 'bots' belonging to those Ripoff Reseller Websites that would snap them all up instead of us Fans.markfiend wrote: ↑26 Nov 2021, 11:26 Hmmmmmm so they weren't sold out of standing tickets after all; I've just bought a couple. Mini PiB has had two significant seizures tonight, ambulance worthy even. The last was 18 months ago. So she doesn't know i it yet, but no driving for 12 months from now and job interview tomorrow is obviously in the air.
I can't really assist too much because I am already medicated with great big happy pills.
S hit happens right
