Awful. is that what they call 'darkwave'? dirged-down synth pop . like playing the 'fade to grey' single onn 33 and thinking its better like that. Awful. fake-goth nonsense.
Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

In the immortal words of Eddie Hitler, I think I'll just put "bollocks".
The fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt.

As mh put in a thread about a Roundhouse show - "Von does look like Eddie Hitler in that jacket, though." There's always a link,...
To the tune. At first I thought it was broken. Then I realised it wasn't. Then I started to actually quite like it, especally when I stopped thinking of it as a Sisters cover.

Chucking another log on
[repeat x40]
And captures the Fisher Price instruments thrash aesthetic perfectly.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

These shoegaze covers are fine, but I was thinking that if any Sisters track screams out for the cheesiest possible techno remix it's this one.
Something like this.
(only not sounding like it was done over a lunch break by a tone deaf hack)

Do you remember a time when angels... do you remember a time when fear?
In the days when I was stronger, in the days when you were here?

That...
Is...
AWESOME...!
Depeche Mode called, they'd like their first LP back.

And oh, I guess since we're now doing versions of Damage Done, here's my personal Abrimaal-tribute-version, appropriately titled "The Damaged One" - enjoy, or hide behind the sofa, as you see fit.
