Sisters spotting

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

To be honest, I don't even have a problem with the Sisterhood affair. After all these years, history has made it a jolly hoot more than anything else. And both parties certainly can't deny that they got good publicity out of it: useful for Wayne and Craig when starting a new band, useful for Von when his profile would otherwise have been low.

In the end it just comes down to personal taste. I just don't like Wayne's music as much. But that's on me, not him.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

This... was an interesting read. Wtf? People are weird. :/

It's very strange isn't it? The whole QAnon thing is some kind of cult.

Both extremes meet up at the back of the political circle in the nightmare of totalitarianism.

At silly o'clock this morning I caught some of the Steps concert online on the BBC, I scared my neighbour by laughing about the similarities in the stage show to the Sisters in recent years. Luckily she has no memory of any Sisters line up.

Odd that the Amazon UK description of the forthcoming Mish compilation album does rather initially focus on Von. Shurely shome mishtake

:D :notworthy: :notworthy: that's a day-maker right there! The Sisters very own actual Nephilim, although one of the funniest quotes of the anniversary shows was a heartlfelt impassioned 'Oh my God it's THOR!' as he stood on the monitors  a consummate professional (his words), a front row troller extraordinaire  and a top bloke. And that's just you Lee! 8) :notworthy: we were just thinking back to 2 weeks ago and our super-smooth train journeying that landed us at 2pm in front of another smiley Australian telling us our room at the Enterprise was ready and waiting, just as your good self wandered through the doors. Start of the best weekend of our lives to date :D

I mean, they're called "Lamp of Murmuur." The name alone would put off 99% of potential listeners...

Black Metal from the USA. Definitely inspired by the 80s, including a Christian Death cover at the end. Fantastic project.

It's from back in July, and it's another "reacts" YT vid thing, but I thought this reviewer had some interesting "outsider" views on the track (TOL 1992):
