It's a Thin Lizzy song, but I don't think it is Thin Lizzy playing on that single

I remember reading something about it being on the same tape as the A side and the bootlegger just assumed it was by the same band.

nah, it aint metallica (was years afore they did it!) and i am pretty sure it aint thin lizzy either...

Yup. Pulp did a fairly astonishing version of it too.
