So here are some of my impressions from the concert @Batschkapp ... :) ...

Had quite a difficult travel there and arrived at the venue when Hugs of the Sky were already on. Early enough, fortunately, to get out again and have a cig and a beer. But pretty soon The Sisters entered the stage and were right from the beginning welcomed with applause, which was nice to see ... ;D ... Don't Drive On Ice had the audience involved within short, and Dr. Jeep / Detonation Boulevard and Ribbons did the rest. Then they played There's A Door ... ;D ... of course, I couldn't get any of the lyrics, they come over much better in the video, but I loved the sound immediately. Three new songs in a row in total, and there was absolutely nothing missing ... ;D ;D ;D ...

Especially pleasing was also the fact that the bass sound was well present and on a same level with all the other instruments, perfect conditions to dance. Well, only at the end of the last part of This Corrosion, when they fully cranked up the volume everything turned into a total hotpotch so that the audience chorus missed their cue, because they couldn't hear it ... ... in this moment it was no catastrophy, though, rather a somewhat surprising way to end a concert ... :D ...

Beyond that all the songs were so dynamic, so colourful and exciting. Full pleasure on my side ... ;D ;D ;D ... I also liked particularly the apparently somewhat elaborated Instrumental ... :D ... it made a good brigde between Marian and More to Giving Ground (which I had not hoped to hear this time ;D and it fitted perfectly) and then Show Me, Six Ways To Sunday, I Was Wrong, Something Fast, When I'm On Fire (just wonderful) and Here ...   ...

What a setlist with all the wonderful new songs in that order with the older ones ... After all those long years, or decades rather, it might sound almost incredible, but The Sisters of Mercy have clearly opened new grounds on which tracks like FALAA, Flood II or Vision Thing are easily dispensable, but never to far away to be outdated ... a real development
... ;D ;D ;D ...

Sad enough, this was the last concert of this tour I could attend, but all together these three gigs were so pleasing, enjoyable and recreative that utmost joy, fun and pleasure are just the best way to describe them... :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: ...

Many greetings, btw, to all those I met (always a pleasure) :D and to those I couldn't meet as I was so late (hopefully next time) ... :bat: ...

Can't really call this a review. More like a paragraph
Cheers.
