THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

For those who enjoyed Trevor and Mark's recent books on the 1980-1985 era, just to let you know that I have restarted more blog posts about individual gigs and events of that time in the band's history.

New for this weekend is a post about the gigs in Sussex in 1982 and 1983 (Brighton and Hastings respectively) - https://sistersfan.blogspot.com/2022/07 ... rocknroll.

Other recent posts include a Body Electric 40th anniversary post, another look back at the free gig at Sheffield Uni in June 1983, and an account of a rare Eldritch radio interview from March 1985.

Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

Nice one! Speedy D told me about the Brighton one. Apparently it took a look in Vons special box of life to confirm it and some of the songs played.

@Nikolas Vitus Lagartija One thing that needs researching is that they played 3 times at Francs in Colne. I used to know someone who lived in Colne and he went to the gigs. He couldn't remember the exact dates but approximately they were March or April'82, Nov'82, and we kindof know about March'83. He knew Franc and asked if he could look up the dates but either he no longer had the documentation, or couldn't find it.

Great read Nikolas, especially the Body Electric/Andrenochrome peice. One of my fav cover images and what a double whammy of songs. I've the t-shirt, the poster, the CNT comp ... and one day I'll hopefully be able to afford the single!
