Depeche Mode

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I have the feeling that this was work in progress that was nearly complete before the sudden loss of A.F. Just a guess not proofed with facts :bat:

I'm a bit disappointed that their "World Tour" firstly seems to be limited shows in very big venues,
and secondly only encompasses Europe and North America.
I think it's quite probable that this is their last ever world tour.

Here in Australia, I think they last played here in 2001 or 2003 or something ridiculous.

Not to mention South America, Asia, New Zealand etc.

I see they opted for ticket bastard's dynamic pricing model that's just another way of ripping off fans.
From one minute to the next, available tickets can treble in price based on demand.
Cheers.

What a thoroughly distasteful idea. Never seen that before outside of the auto-scalp websites.
Imagine if your super market was like that ?

Not since '94 for the SOFAD tour IIRC. :x

I know they got burned in the 80s with AU media ignoring them/no airplay, it wasn't viable to come out re; logistics. Apparently. But to ignore the entire hemisphere these days... c'mon.

yea even for England when I saw my only option was Twickenham stadium I wasn't thrilled. Ticket prices through the roof - bit the silver bullet anyway.

That's a scumbag tactic to not only rip off fans but to pissed them off to the bone. It shows complete lack of respect to the people, and during that time, well ... you'll rip what ....

I don't pretend to understand the econmic detail of these globo tours but dynamic pricing is the most disgusting practise any artist can inflict on their fans. That and this vip package s**t is just dispicable. Ticket prices are bad enough but this raw greed is craven tatcherism... let the market decide?! Bollox

So, the new album is coming out on the 17th March. I'm surprised there's been no lead single so far.
