Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.
Seeing Sun O))) at the Masonic Temple at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery on the 2nd. I'm going in bing, but I've been promised that it will be mind boggling...

that ongoing eternity
Viagra Boys next week (can't wait) and then off to Florida for three days in which I'll spend an hour or so talking about Nietzsche and the rest of the time drinking drinks with little umbrellas in them. A nice change from the mid-Atlantic in February.
And obviously Von and the lads in Silver Spring come May.

The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities, that makes it seem inconceivable that other ways are viable, that removes the sense that there is an outside.
22nd Feb - I'm off to the opera for the first time. Might be great, who knows? Tosca at Leeds Grand Theatre
15th April - Fabio & Grooverider with what I assume will be the greatest hits of drum and bass - Farsley Old Woollen
27th April - an evening with Henry Blofeld, the voice of Test Match Special - Farsley Old Woollen
4th May - Duran Duran - Leeds Arena
26th May - Dub Pistols, Crescent Community Venue, York
31st August - A Flock of Seagulls - Brudenell Social Club
And I forgot to mention I went to Chris Catalyst's birthday thing at Brudenell last week where a good time was had by all.
And I keep looking at those US dates, and then my air miles...
Chucking another log on, reversing the polarity of the neutron flow
Carpe noctum in leeds last sat was terrific , 3 cracking sets by Black riders cult and Deathtrippers but the standout was Cold in Berlin who put on the best show I've seen in ages with a with a heavy doomy sound and brilliant singer . A cracking night and worth the trip up with the only downside being the sheer number of pissed up idiots around the area .
Marc Almond - 23 march in Zwolle NL
W.A.S.P. - 29 March Zwolle NL
Fields Of the Nephilim - 27 April Oberhausen (if they turn up)
Rammstein (twice) 6 and 7 july in Groningen NL
New Model Army - 17 december Amsterdam
It's a good few months of show coming up: the Sisters in May, followed by Franz Ferdinand (in a really small venue that's opening here; a friend managed to score tickets. I loved their first album but have heard nothing they'e done since) and then Love & Rockets in June, and then Lankum in September.
