GW8 - Deadline Saturday 7th October 11.00 am

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Hello! Ready for another go on the Prem? Will VAR be the main talking point, or the football, or Keegan’s stupidity? Will the offside rule ever recover?
Our main news is that some absolute melt has objected to Benteke Fried Chicken as a team name (after millions of years) so that’s had to change. BAH.
IGM also made a rally last GW so we are no longer 4th out of 3 teams.

This GW offers (apart from the hen night thing in Nottingham I am off to) the following opportunities for FPL disaster:

Saturday 7 October 2023

Luton 12:30 Spurs Anything could happen
TNT
Burnley 15:00 Chelsea Wooo! Chelsea have points!
Everton 15:00 Bournemouth So do Everton but I’m not sure that will be any help
Fulham 15:00 Sheffield Utd I predict a Blades win
Man Utd 15:00 Brentford Brentford will win and Ten Hag’s position will be weebly
Crystal Palace 17:30 Nott'm Forest Just remember Eze is out for a while
Sky Sports

Sunday 8 October 2023

Brighton 14:00 Liverpool All eyes on the white lines!
Sky Sports
West Ham 14:00 Newcastle Newcastle should be on top of the world for this one
Wolves 14:00 Aston Villa Will Watkins walk over Wolves?
Arsenal 16:30 Man City Haven’t recovered from there not being a 4.30 game last week. Should be home from the hen do by now. Expecting to be entertained and also to nap.

It’s all go!

GW8 was months ago! Loads of internationals, most of which weren’t available to watch. Bah. That Wales/Croatia game, though, that’s what we want to see!

Quick wrap up of the last time :

Luton 0-1 Spurs Yes. Well. Managed it in the end. Luton were steadfast.
Burnley 1-4 Chelsea That has been awaited a while. Sterling rising.
Everton 3-0 Bournemouth What now? And Bournmeouth 5 saves on top?
Fulham 3-1 Sheffield Utd Blades did not win.
Man Utd 2-1 Brentford Brentford a bit under the cosh. 6 saves, 5 yellows.
Crystal Palace 0-0 Nott'm Forest Palace goal the busier
Brighton 2-2 Liverpool A draw, but Salah back on top banana
West Ham 2-2 Newcastle All very equal…
Wolves 1-1 Aston Villa Just yer local derby
Arsenal 1-0 Man City A killer of a deflection off Ake’s face. Are City’s title hopes fading?

The tables:
IGM mirroring TSOM temporary disarray! Nooo!

Yellow Jersey floats gracefully along the offside line upon Dynamo Salah

The Big Shout Out goes to Team WMS for his 69. I don’t know how phrase that better.

H2H:
We are at least in second….

The Crown is on Bl00dysister, and very nice it looks too.
