They fired a guitarist, cancelled 2 gigs, pulled a new guitarist of their hats mid tour.... I wouldn't be surprised if they would play Possession next.
Clearly now the past mistakes
The giant steps we had to take
The path that ever promise made to
Die in dream dissolve and fade

I wonder if Ben approached him earlier or if it was agreed in Budapest? In which case Kai's had four days to learn the set, in-between playing his own gig in Barcelona on the 12th and then hot-footing it back to Wurzburg!

looks like Wurzburg (sry I've no idea how to umlaut that u) just made itself hip, in Sisters History at the very least plenty of welcoming whooping and hollering for Kai on these videos of Ingo's and Mr Blonde's (cheers as ever guys ). The show sounds awesome, roll on Nottingham! (and all gigs inbetween for everyone going to them )Kutan wrote: ↑15 Oct 2023, 00:41Würzburg is just one of those totally un-hip places to have this happen.Planet Dave wrote: ↑14 Oct 2023, 22:48 Hands up everyone who thought there'd be a new guitarist in the band tonight.
But to be honest: I, at least, didn‘t expect it.
And as Sabine rightly says, welcome to The Sisters Kai

This probably calls for an updated tour image, just in case any bootleggers haven't bootlegged their t-shirts yet ...

Thank you Ingo and Mr Blonde
Just noticed from Kai's FB page that he attended at least one of the Roundhouse shows. Make of that what you will

Can I ask: it sounds to me like what were perpetual sound troubles have now cleared up? Like: maybe Dylan was the problem all along, not Von's voice?!
ALSO: so now The Sisters of Mercy have had both queers and non-binary people in the band

Nah, Von's voice has been dodgy for years.H. Blackrose wrote: ↑15 Oct 2023, 22:52 Can I ask: it sounds to me like what were perpetual sound troubles have now cleared up? Like: maybe Dylan was the problem all along, not Von's voice?!

Yes. I know. I repeat: the sound problems seem to have cleared up now and Von's voice hasn't miraculously de-aged.

Honestly, I would like to be able to blame Dylan, but I went to Sisters gigs before he joined that had terrible sound. The Sisters are one of the very few headline bands that I've seen that had a worse sound than their own support act, and I've been going to gigs for 40 years.H.
