Why no 'Still'

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Shi!tty song.
Never liked it, can't tell why it saw the light of a day, even though sarcastic lyrics (maybe because of the lyrics this half-cooked dish was served).

First TSOM song co-written by Chris Catalyst. Maybe a bit of testing the waters by Von.

Suffice to say, Adam and Dylan passed that test better, but there are many jobs in the band.

Such a lovely song ... ;D ... doesn't always fit the times like any song in the world, but beyond that ... ;D ...

Indeed it's a great song, to my ears anyroad. Only saw it played live once, at Suikerrock in 2008, and it didn't match the majesty of the seminal Brussels AB 2006 recording, but hey. I'd be surprised if it made a reappearance these days, think Slept is a better prospect for the current live sound. And Black Sail is a better prospect than that, and I fear we've heard the last of that too. Now that is a real shame, but well it's not my band so what can you do?

I liked it, but I think it's a fair comment that it seemed a little lightweight and throwaway, and the lyrics were a bit half-arsed. I did like it nonetheless.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

I like it. Would be good to hear it again live.
