Read, read, read!!!! education, imagination, humour

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

It’s the holidays so I take a break from the stuff I read for work. At the moment it’s Nomeansno - From Obscurity to Oblivion: An Oral History.

Thoroughly enjoying it so far.

This thread shouldn't be dead so I'll allow myself a little contribution here as I come back home from a library with a pile of books, on a regular basis.
Ali Smith, because she's one of the wittiest modern writers (so many literary & art references, the subtlety yet crispness of images).

And of course, why not some TS Eliot.

Finished my epic re-read of Iain M Banks Culture series (in publication order this time) and moved onto his other Sci-fi novels, currently 'The Algebraist'. and as i (usually) have a factual book on the go at the same time i am reading 'One Day In September', the story of the 1972 Munich Olympics assassination of 11 Israeli athletes by The Black September Organisation.

Still working on Waiting For Another War, but also, "Change Your Life: Essential Poems" by Rainer Maria Rilke, and "Antarctica" by Claire Keegan, when I have some time to read on my daily commute.
