Where are you off to? Enquiring minds need to know

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Enjoy Paul :) the Grand is a grand place to see some theatre, was last there quite some years ago for Bottom Live, RIP Rik  :notworthy:

Looking forward to tonight, apparently we can expect funky visuals courtesy of the Warehouse's ceiling screens and Kai's creation of visuals specifically for them. Sounds interesting 8)

I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. I did it before, was very frightened beforehand and had a splendid day. Even had breakfast with the band the next day since they were staying nearby. Enjoy! :D

Top nite out, decent pit from time to time during Esprit's set, not bad for a Monday in Leeds on a cold February night. Charlie now knows what it's like to be centre-pit when there's a mini-maelstrom swirling and clanging around you, indeed she pretty much started it, though much like Lemmy in his Hawkwind days she was unmoveable thanks to those ferocious New Rock boots  :notworthy: cheers Ben and Diamond Black, cheers Kai and Esprit d'Air, good night had by all 8) :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: Warehouse is a tidy little venue too, perfect for a Near Meth Experience I'd say :von:

Well I had a lovely night at Esprit D'Air/Diamond Black show in Glasgow
Really interesting to see the difference in Ben and Kai between being Sisters guitarists and fronting their own bands

Went to see Echo and the Bunnymen last night at the Brighton Dome.

It was very much a greatest hits affair (with a couple of new songs), which for me was absolutely fine since I've never seen them live before - Lips Like Sugar, The Cutter, The Killing Moon, Seven Seas, Nothing Lasts Forever (somehow merging into a cover of Walk on the Wild Side), Bring On the Dancing Horses etc (full set list here). The set was divided in two halves (with a 15-20 minute break between them), followed by a one-song encore (Lips Like Sugar).

Ian McCulloch is another child of May 1959, and he had to drop down an octave for some of the notes that he'd previously have sung in his higher register, but imagining a voice should sound the same at 64 as it did at 24 has always seemed a bit unrealistic. Will Sergeant continues to be an exceptional guitarist.

Front 242 in That London in December. Unless the Sisters have anything, that'll probably be all my travelling giggage for this year. Lots closer to home, of course, beginning with efforts to find a lost jumper this coming Saturday.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Virginmarys were utterly banging tonight at the Brudenell, the new track they played possibly being the most banging of them all, fkng beautiful. Something about North West coasts, hard to remember details due to a slight case of overheadbanging. Like they watched Bill Hicks screaming 'play from your fkng heeaaarrrrrt!!!!!!' and decided to make a musical career on that very notion. Wonderful. Ugly Kid Joe featuring a very prominent Mr Catalyst were also excellent, bless the singer for sporting a Eureka Machines tee throughout the gig, nice touch! Top nite out followed by a 5 minute walk home. That's the way to do it.

And god bless Charlie for rocking out like a rock goddess mofo for the entirety of both sets. Class act mate    :notworthy:
