Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

Halfway through my first listen and quite liking it.

The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities, that makes it seem inconceivable that other ways are viable, that removes the sense that there is an outside.

Treated myself to the Nirvana Bleach Special Edition vinyl remaster yesterday. I bought my original copy on the day of its UK release back in 1989 only for it to be subsequently stolen by my then girlfriend when we split.
Saw this new releese in HMV for the bargain price of £23 compared to the standard issue LP at £27. The new Special Edition is a 2 LP gatefold -the 2nd LP features a live concert with a 16 page booklet. 1 LP comes in a white inner-sleeve the other a black one. The whole package screams quality love & attention not to mention being incredibly affordable.
BTW this release is Sub-Pop -an actual established record label- & not the US version of Cadiz.

This new Melvins record is really good. I got the new High on Fire as well but… well, it’s HoF and it sounds like them but it’s too metal and not enough rock and roll for me (nothing but Motörhead can scratch the Motörhead itch).

BLEACH by Nirvana in all its 2024 remastered 80g vinyl beautifully packaged double LP glory. But this time not only is it MINE fiscally morally & indubitably , there exists no significant other to lay claim to it being 'ours' (by which olf course she meant 'hers' ) i havent forgiven or forgotten but neither could i care 2 fucks. As the day is long. Rain from Heaven , (Reign in Hell)

Whole album is fantastic really but this is on repeat:
How am I just learning about this band now?

I'm thinking this could be their best album to date
