Another funny thing ...

Have you established a good reputation at HL and got some Sisters stuff to sell or trade with the community? Or are you searching for that elusive ultra rare live bootleg from 1988? Ever had a bad experience with a trader on Ebay? Let us all know here. Outdated threads will be purged over time.

Warning: Newcomers posting here first will be treated like spammers. At least have the courtesy to say hello in General Chat first...

Much cheaper here in the UK. Only £1.70 postage.
I've just purchased the last two, once they arrive I'll post you one for free. Merry Christmas.

Right this is my Sisters Of Murphy story. back in the 90s somebody told me that The Sisters Of Mercy were playing this tiny little club in Leicester. i knew instantly it was bollocks because the girls were touring the 91 leg of the Tour Thing and were NOT playing venues smaller than arena size. a quick check proved this right (obviously) but there was a band on at the shed called the Sisters of Murphy. i expected a dubliners type band probably so didnt go. years later when i discovered the Smurphs -Ginger Paddys band- the muddle in my brain caused by 15 years of taking drugs for a living made me think "s**t! that band all those years ago wasnt some bog-trotting old persons band it was in fact the ONLY acceptable TSOM tribute act*.

long story short -no one made you read this- one day it dawned on me that the Smurphs werent going then . a quick google came up with surprise surprise a bogtrotting folk band.***

*marching men were unacceptable eventhough they are my friends so i just didnt listen to them, same as all the other unacceptable ones**

**if you are in a sistres of mercy tribute band that isnt the Smurphs then i am talking about you.

*** me clling the irish bogtrotters is racist but as i am half irish i am allowed to call them bogtrotters. so can you if you want - tell them i said you could.

that doesnt surprise me as Atlantic is silver & owned by WEA -its elektras sister label i think.
With hindsight WEA/Time Warner seem to own -or has previously owned- every record company imaginable so i imagine its labels are complete across the spectrum (with the exception of Merciful Release.! There as here -on WhizzWorld- EVERYTHING of value is Black!!!!!!
Green is only used for traffic lights, snooker tables, lawns and syphilis.
