The replacement, presumed temporary until proven otherwise, is Kai from Esprit D'Air. There's a ton of full show videos on YT from the current European tour, feel free to check them out, he's pretty good, which is of course a total understatement.
However utterly bastard groovy Kai may be, it is indeed a shame about Dylan. The thread covering the first night at the Roundhouse in the Live section here on HL offers description of events, and of course more than a ton of wild speculation. His departure (aka sacking) is sad, but life goes on.

A short conversation between myself and Dylan on insta:
eastmidswhizzkid: Hi Dylan, thank you for everythijng you did in the Sisters. We appreciaed it and love you man
Dylan Smith: "@lee_whizzkid Thank you for your kind words and support. I am proud of what we managed to achieve in my time in the band. I was a fan before I joined and still am. Catch you round "
eastmidswhizzkid: "@dylan_chrisford_smith Peace & Love Sister Dylan. Always"
&
BTW- if youre on insta check out the little vid that this chat is under - that tune he is playing would have been a great Sisters song wouldnt it....
Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

Riff sounds like an interpretation on hushabye mountains structure. Wouldn't that be a lovely cover?

It's nice to see Dylan back on stage, doing what makes him happy
When Ruffers and I met him outside the Roundhouse after the Friday night drama he seemed utterly distraught. I was genuinely concerned about him
I have seen The Sisters at The Paradiso. I will die happy
With massive thanks to Ruffers for his company and help.
A girl is never too old to wear a Sisters tshirt!
Dylan has updated his FB.... Started new job with Die Krupps....
So I guess he's a band member now

i like the bloke no end. hes a good lad is Dylan - went out of his way to connect with the fanbase publicly and privately just like ben and chris have. and hes a rock star through and through -such folk can be far harder ego-wise than our Smiggy. even his uppity-yet-beautifully-shy super-model girlfriend was made for him- they have the same birthday! awwwww.
EDIT: smiggy just posted a pic of him on stage with dk and Ben Christo commented- those 2 have obviously remained good friends.

I know nothing about this band apart from this thread and Wikipedia, but... did they have the same thing happen to them as TSOM? Like, they started a tour with a guitarist and then he "vaporized" for whatever reason?

That post is strangely enough deleted from Dylans insta now. Makes me wonder if Wayne have co-written that new song together with Dylan and the latter hinted that information a bit to early? I wouldn't be surprised at all if Wayne reached out during difficult times...

I took the link to image and posted it here.
In this sections (stories) pictures and posts are removed in 24h.
Pictures remain for some time more.
There is a window of opportunity for someone to keep the pic and save it.
I think it will be removed from there too in a time on as it is from a removable section.

He just posted something on Instagram praising the mish and their new song...
Idk man
Well he did watch them from the side of the stage at Mera Luna the other year, before playing with the Sisters. So he's obviously mates with them and a fan of the band. I doubt he's trying to do any stirring / winding up, I doubt he'd be that lame.
