Kai playing Black Planet & RAAHP on Instagram

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Er.. you do know that Kai is a professional musician, right? There's no reason to think that learning Black Planet was a particularly challenging or time intensive task.

And funnily enough, loads of people have spent time learning how to play Black Planet without ever intending to play it live onstage as a touring member of The Sisters Of Mercy. Indeed by my estimation, significantly more people who aren't members of The Sisters Of Mercy have learned to play Black Planet than people who are, by a ratio of a few hundred thousand to one.

It's a staggering level of engagement from the band - I can't imagine having a Sisters guitarist just jamming on the internet at any other point in this band's history.

I also think it's impossible and largely pointless (beyond idle amusement) to predict what the band will put in a set. I'm still stunned at the introduction of Rain From Heaven to the live show.

But Black Planet would be a canny choice, apt and a good song to have Ben/Kai carry backing vocals on. And I don't even like the song myself.
