What song that hasn't been performed recently would you like to hear again?

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Personally I'd love to hear War on Drugs again, especially with Kai in the line-up and their higher vocal register I think they could do the "woo-hoo" part pretty well, also I just love the western sound of the song since it doesn't really sound anything like any of the other songs in the Sister's catalogue.

Second place for me would have to be Better Reptile, I know the song is essentially a fragment compared to the other Dylan era tracks but man the "Shed your Skin" part with all the band singing in unison is so good. I'd also love to finally hear Left on Venom and Revenge but that song might never see the light of day since Dylan is gone now.

What about you folks, is there any sisters deep cuts that haven't been performed in a while you'd love to hear again in this incarnation of the band?

Adrenochrome :innocent: okay maybe not, wouldn't want another burst of cancelled gigs after trying to sing that. Okay then, also War On Drugs, but there's about as much chance.

A song that would fit nicely currently is Slept.

Seconded, and it fits the current atmosphere better than the instrumental 86.

Starting today I'm gonna refer to 'Comfortably Numb' as 'that long lame intro to SKOS'. :notworthy:

Heartland and Gimme Shelter always brought a nice balance towards the middle of the set. I’d happily retire More to allow this to happen…

Lights.

It would even suit the current configuration of the band as they could easily do a shortened (2:30 to 3:00 minute) arrangement of it.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Good call! They could even do a full length or extended version of it, to either start or end the main set or indeed the encores. Niiice.

It's just the version they did that mixed in parts of the Phantom guitar line but (as usual) left out half the words.

One of those things where you might initially think it's neat, but you'd really just prefer to hear Floorshow done right.

I don't think Von would be up to doing Floorshow, at least not without major support from backing vocals, these days anyway.

War on Drugs is an underrated classic which, for once, uses one of the good Doktor's advantages over a human drummer - steady acceleration
