Gary Marx - What a nice man.

Know the whereabouts of any ex-Sisters members or hangers-on? Got any amusing anecdotes about members of the band, past or present? Post 'em here...

Gary has sent me another tune to share with you all:
Gary Marx wrote:My Glam Odyssey is far from over, but those songs can find their way in the world without me for a while.

I am returning to another set of tunes, an album with the working title, ‘Sad Songs For Anthony.’

This is an early taste of what to expect, a song called Mexican Goodbye.

i like this a lot. i like the fact that Mr Pearman's mojo seems to have been well and truly regained even more.
Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

Mexican Goodbye sounds really great, looking forward to another Marx album, whenever that may be...

The Green Ginger Jive album is also very, very enjoyable - it's full of glam rock stompers with some great lyrics too.

And I've got my tickets for January. After seeing the videos from the album launch I knew this was a night not to be missed.

The very nice man just posted about this

"It’ll be a mix of chat & tunes again like the recent Wrecking Ball launch night, but the emphasis will shift from Hull to my early time living in Leeds.
That means a different set of songs and different guests joining me. I’ve called the show ‘Burley Alive’ and that signifies Sisters HQ, Village Place will be the backdrop for much of the action this time out."

So I'm even more excited now.

Got myself a hotel room for the night in Leeds, as I don't fancy having to get back from Farsley for my last train at 11pm :D

Also, he's made an unreleased song from the green ginger jive sessions free to download

That has an mp3 to download, but the replies also have a link to a wav file version.

thought about hotels then realised ive got a ticket for a football match on the sunday so it'll be the 3am all-nighter long-way-round trans penine coach home.

And another new song! Like Ferraro Rocher... well and truly spoilt.

Ummed and ahhed about this at first, expected it to sell out quick tbh and figured there'd be more folk more fussed than us about going to see him, but anyway all things being as they are, tickets booked for me and Charlie. Pay your dues, as they say. And we live literally around the corner, would much prefer to have had early Sisters as neighbours than the bad-edm rubbish that blasts out of the back garden up the hill these days.

Arrgh!

I bought my tickets and now work is sending me half-way across the world.

I know people don't want to miss this, so I'll have a word with The Old Woollen.
