The Sisters album names
The Sisters official album names ... are a bit dull. But compilations have cool names, I mean "Some Girls Wander By Mistake" and "A Slight Case Of Overbombing". Ever wondered why is that? Eldritch, if any1, should come up with catchy titles.

Two of them are just named after lead songs (alright, FALAA is the lead song of side two, but you get the point), which I agree is a bit boring. Floodland, on the other hand, strikes me as a really good title, which ties in with the cover, and also hints at a key theme of the album.

"Some Girls Wander By Mistake" is a line from Leonard Cohen's Teachers, which was covered by the Sisters on their first demo tape. It's a very apt title for a compilation of early material, but I always thought Von missed a trick by not releasing a follow-up named "Into The Mess That Scalpels Make".
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.
Kinda agree you on Floodland, but wouldn't it be cool if were called something like "Were it not so black and not so hard to see" ? wink wink.MrChris wrote: ↑01 Nov 2024, 13:17 Two of them are just named after lead songs (alright, FALAA is the lead song of side two, but you get the point), which I agree is a bit boring.
