Happy Sisters day

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

43 years of "promises" and "give me more"! :notworthy:
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Happy Birthday SISTERS! And many more to come! 8)
Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

happy Andy-versaries all round then! 2 days ago (no, not "St. Kiss The Carpets Day".. or "St. Lights Day",...keep going ... that's the day 8) ) marked 40 years since i first heard The Sisters Of Mercy. Literally the longest love affair of my life and still faithful (although if you want to carry the analogy on to its sticky end we havent had proper sex since 1993 -dont snigger, nor have you- but the mutual masturbation can be pretty intimate and its definitely had a new energy about it recently.) What you think i write s**t like this for your benefit? ha! come back in 2069 ok and ask me if i'm bothered. :von:

THE SISTERS OF MERCY -HALFWAY TO 88 (2 fat ladies? smothered in velvet...) see ya there.

I've just noticed that 39 years ago to the day and just about now in terms of time, I'd finished watching the Sisterhood sound check in the Electric Ballroom in Camden and then a roadie got a football out and we all started kicking it around in the hall. An hour or two later, one of them came over to me and said rather apologetically "I'm really sorry mate, but you're going to have to go out and queue up as we're about to open the doors"
