Help Needed - Black October

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Hi Guys

The time has come to get my tattoo done. Still undecided whether to have the merciful release logo or something else.
Has anybody got a hi-res jpeg of the black october motif? Thats my fav. option at the moment. Don't worry I'm not doing a poll for you all to decide my fate.

PM me if you can help.

Cheers

S303

Thanks Quiff. That's the one. I reckon that would be the best (and least painful!) design. What do you think?

If you can scan it that would be brilliant. I'm having it done on Wednesday.

Cheers mate.

Thanks QB.
Very much appreciated. What do you think? The whole of my back? Chest?
Or the more likely, small one on my calf?

i reckon the solid block of black might look a bit odd (and possibly look a little patchy?) if it was a large tattoo... not to mention a tad painful.

dunno much about tattoos and stuff but i reckon a small or mid sized one - on the calf as you suggest, or somewhere like that :)

maybe drop biggy a pm and ask his advice... here's his website: http://www.nigelkurt.com/ :notworthy:

On the subject of tattoos. My friend is a vegan, a rather strict one at that. He is concerned that the ink they use for tattooing might contain animal products... Anybody got any advice on this, and maybe which inks don't use animal products?

Had a quick look at Biggy's site and now I'm wondering why on earth anyone would have a tattoo of the Two Ronnies :?

Possibly BP - but I have one on my right arm. I just thought on the leg might be a bit different.

I would have to know who's ink the tattooist in question used to have a vague idea what was in it .
As far as I can say without getting a chemical printout of all the "ingredients" of tattoo ink , I've never known of or come accross any that contained anything animal related . It is usually organic based & most of the actual colour components originate from plantlife & suchlike .

Hope this puts your fluffy mate's mind at rest

But who will see it if it's hidden under your pants/trousers/blue jeans??? If it's on your arm at least people will be able to see it. Or are you planning to wear short pants or those things the scots wear!
