Just read that bit about the Sisters from Melody Maker in 1992 in tyhe 'Reviews and Interviews' section. It seems almost surreal to read an article about the Sisters in the mainstream press.
It got me thinking, though - If the Sisters ever do release a new album, what sort of attention would they get from the press, radio, and TV? Will they be on the front cover of the NME? Will their new single be played to death on MTV2?
Well. what do you all think?
The options are in descending order... I apologise to non-British Heartlanders, who might not understand half the cultural references. Sorry.
'Pond life' or 'Kiss of life'?

Yeah, I think it was in 'Sounds'. He missed the point of the album entirely, and gave it a bad review, wondering if Von had gone mad...elguiri wrote:If I remember rightly , didnt Hussey review "Gift" for either NME or Melody Maker..........dont think he was too impressed either!

BS, you have far too much time on your hands.

Front cover of Mojo etc etc.
MTV2 would definitely play em!
I think there's still enough of an audience to ensure a pretty respectable level of coverage.

But then, I am an optimist...

A jumped-up, trendy young journalist won't care about 'some stupid old goth band'; He or she would much rather be writing about the Strokes, or the White Stripes.
Similarly, any interviews with Von are bound to be really half-arsed; Von will simply be asked the same old set of questions (yawn) by a journo who'd rather be getting p*ssed with the Datsuns, or the Von Bondies or whoever.

the White Stripes - wrong thread for 'Favourite Bands' but Ally Pally was s**t. They know that and we know that. Jack said as much at the gig. Maybe next year.
