Sisters fans crop up unexpected

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I was tucking into my usual Friday mornings bacon, black puddin, brown sauce on a granary stick infront of my computer which happened to be running the Heartland screensaver. When the guy who orginised the buttie run came up to me for payment and said 'Oh cool you like the Sisters?'

I would have never EVER guessed this guy even knew of SOM, not only did he know of them, he's also been to see them several times years a go!!

Two weeks ago when my work PC crashed and I couldn't get it up and running I called our external IT support. The engineer, who I knew from previous, duly turned up. After he'd fixed it he just looked at the background on my desktop (New MR logo head) and said 'Did you go to the Forum gigs? They were really cool ...'

He's about 6'6" and looks like Lurch from the Adams Family ...

My boss claims to have seen the Sisters at Leeds Warehouse back in '83.

If everyone I've ever met in Leeds who claims to have been at one of those gigs is telling the truth then why does it sound on the boots as though there's about 12 people there?

My stepdad saw the Sisters in Leeds, supporting the Psychedelic Furs. He also saw Led Zeppelin live once. All of these things would make him cool, if he were not an Arsenal fan and I a true Chelsea Blue. C'est la vie.

It's a shame you won't be at the Smurphs gig tomorrow then. I could buy you a drink and you could tell me all about it.

No, my boss is more of a w@nker than David Brent. He's more on a level with Finchy.

Not the most gripping of stories, but...

Today I phoned up HMV Manchester to order a CD, and in the background (while the bloke did his computer thang) was playing the 'Mother Russia' part of Dominion!
ie the Sisters were being played... IN A FECKING HUGE MUSIC SHOP!
Yay!
