Forgotten Classics

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Someone else who has that Tube set on video I see. I remember pis$ing myself at that one, especially taken their attire and his weedy Scottish voice "Welcum too oor live expeeerience" indeed  Got some 7" of theirs in an Oor Price sale for 25p each, I'll Show You Something Special still rocks.
And once again I must champion Play Dead. Company Of Justice, the great lost album of its era IMO and I know, I know QB, you don't rate them at all.

Talk Talk. Not goth but seriously missed.

Creaming Jesus :notworthy:

They were great - back in the day - saw then twice in Cardiff 92 and 93!

I have loads of their Vinly and "Guilt by Association" on Cd - What ever happen to them?

Their cover of "Forest" by The Cure is great - and Temple Of Love - known as Temple of S***E is a scream :-)

Temple of "S***E" - AKA Crap ;-) - its a Live studio recording - its very funny - in particular the drummer saying "Can we do 'Kings of The Wild Frontiers" instead" followed by furious drumming ;-)

Creaming Jesus supported The Nephs when I saw them in '90. I saw them a couple of times after that, including at the Bradford "1-in-12" club when me and my mate sat and had a pint with the band. Very nice chaps they were. ;D

Their early stuff wasn't bad, either.

My fave 'Forgotten' bands are:

Carter USM (After the Watershed is still one of the best songs of all time)
House of Love
The Wedding Present (sadly missed)

It's "Guilt By Association" - "Lillies" and "Reptile" are killer-songs!
I saw them twice here in Bremen - they used the "Temple"-riff as an intro to "A Forest".

The statement at the end of "Temple of Lurve/s**t" is very funny: "Can't we try something else? That was rubbish!"
