Emily's Easter Holiday

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Get on a plane to Venice. Might be a bit full of Nuns at that time of year, but it's the most wonderful place in the world. (Not that I've been many other places, cos Mrs T hates flying.) But even she says she'd get on a plane by herself to go back there.
Go to sleep now, Francis.

Glasgow, city centre, plenty of shops.

and we're The New Black which some folks round here would probably appreciate.

Yeah we got shops, traffic lights, everything. Go somewhere else. You'll like it. More.

Yet more hyperbole from some Ad Agency.
I live here as do you Red_K, at least it's not as bad as Motherwell

I love the place. Don't get me wrong. But it was a slow grower on me. Took a couple of years to fully appreciate. For a visit I would even recommend Edinburgh over this place, unless you are a shopping junkie, which I guess was your original point. Even then, stay in Edinburgh and get the train through for the day.

Fell in love with the capital in the 70s, saw what it really was in the 80s. A love affair ended. That 'fashionable' end of Leith thing etc. Doesn't stop me from enjoying those Rebus novels tho.

This man, Ken Stott was born to play him. Read the books, he looks, sounds and behaves the way a man of Rebus' age and background would.

Having said that, the TV versions are pretty damn good.

Yes. That's where we tend to take our holidays, cos Mrs T's not fond of flying. But you never know how much of it will be left, do you. The houses on the front @ Skipsea Sands seem to be getting perilously close to the edge...

It's not embarrising. I was in need of a love emoticon. Or a kiss emoticon. This was the closest I could find

Sorry, her it is....

Mousehole, down near St Ives is really nice. We had our honeymoon down there. Little windy roads - nice pub, loads of stone circle and sites of interest. Strongly recommend it.

Wicklow is nice - but remember; if you're smoking its outside.
No chance of Eldritch doing a gig here again then... ;)
