Have I missed anything?

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Nothing happened. Twice.

No it didn't. I'd have seen it.

So what was happening to you, AC? And how's life in my old home town? I'm guessing nothing interesting happened in Durham lately?

Thank you one and all peeps!!!
It's good to be back again :D :D :D
I have nothing exciting to report to everyone, only all I've done is work, work, work and have a rotten time which seems to be improving a bit.
Andy, hinny, sleepy old Durham is still the same. I don't see much of the nightlife as I haven't been out for many a moon. All the old pubs are there but North Road has a load of new ones and they've put a pop up urinal there too(To stop folks peeing in the shopping centre doorways I think)
I hope life is being kind South of the Border :)

Well, I've not seen it in use personally but I'm informed it rises up when male chaps need to use it. It's on a timer to coincide with closing time.

Wouldn't know, only just got "back in town" myself.

Been busy moving home and trying to cope with the ineptitude of BT
Yahoo and their failure to reconnect me to the net.

Judging by the accents in the call centre the B now stands for Bombay...

"Hello, my name is Leonard."

Yeah, right. Is that what your mother calls you at home?
I don't bloody think so.

Sorry, I digress. You get the picture anyway.

Hmm. Interesting choice of phrase

These new North Road pubs, do they have a nasty chain feel to them? Would they, perchance, be wall-to-wall Burberry and Ben Sherman? Can I ever go home again?

Yup,something like that JD Wetherspoons,Yates etc etc.
You'll be glad to hear the old haunts are still there The Angel, Shakespeare& The Half-Moon(Allegedly refurbished but still looks as if it's when Queen Victoria was ruling the Empire)
