Curve to release greatest hits cd

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I never heard anything by 'em ( a bit before my time), but I know quite a few of you 'orrible lot like Curve, so you may find this interesting:

unless you already knew it. in which case, you won't find it interesting.

Great band. Their website's got some good stuff on it as well.

I prefer Doppelganger. Already Yours, Horror Head and the title track are ace.

They were quite stunning live, she is more beautiful in the flesh and also smaller than you might think. What a noise they made but tight as flip!
Glasgow QMU, support - The Mute Drivers (I think?) and Tiny Monroe (was in the bar while they were on and from what I heard, I was in the right place).

I met her when she was touring with Scylla in 95 (between Curve splitting and reforming). She was very sweet and signed all my Curve records plus the Leftfield single.

I've got everything they've released except for the Superblaster single and a couple of promos.

Not be buying the 'Best Of' then c3? unless....
as they do these days, best of's/greatest hits include new tracks, cf. The Manics Street Preachers and many others.
Hardly a best of if, we've never heard it and you only recorded it for this compilation?

Heh, there is ONE new track - In Disguise. There is a clip of it in one of the video files on the Curve website. Already pre-ordered it. I am a collector. I collect.

I have everything on CD1 and I own about half the recordings on CD2. I don't have the Superblaster B-Sides, the Aphex Twin remix, What A Waste was on a comp tape as was I Feel Love. I have all these songs on a CD-R done by a friend of mine who has all the stuff though.

So why should I buy it? Probably the same reason I bought Some Girls and Overbombing! Nice to have a good collection of songs in one place for a start and also coz you love and support the band.

Make yer own comp?
BTW the entire Peel Sessions CD should not be missed, What A Waste is brilliant (and I expected the worst) they refresh the other tracks with verve and style. What can I say? sorry, I only have it on cassette.

I've ordered mine.

What I don't have from the disc are quality versions of "I Feel Love", "What A Waste", "Falling Free(Aphex Twin mix)" and the new track "In Disguise".
I've managed to snag a cd-5 of the official "Superblaster" EP when Dean Garcia(bassist)placed a few on the Curve website for sale. These past 6 years I'd seen that item go for as much as 2 hudred bucks on e-bay. He recently sold the few he had for a fiver each.

What I'm hoping is that this "Best Of..." package generates enough sales to fund a tour.....especially here in the States.

Just listened to The New Adventures of Curve. It's a great album, a bit more chilled than previous ones. It's much needed at the moment. I love "Signals and Alibis".

I found their stuff from Chinese Burn onwards pretty abrasive on the ears
