Hey people. During "Gimme Shelter" Eldritch says "After 40 nights still f'n gets it wrong". i'm not certain who gets what wrong, perhaps background singing, singing the wrong line? But is this some sort of a hint about the problems between Von and Hussey, if indeed this remark was directed at Wayne? Cause Von says it with some obvious malevolence and tiredness, like he's really sick of something.

I've always been intrigued by that bit in that gig. Funny, I was going to post asking about this.
I always thought it was:
a) Von indicating Hussey screwed up the timing of the backing vocals ('Rape...murder...)
or
b) someone screwed up the mic effects for Von's voice? The echo effect not properly timed for that moment.
I lean toward a). It would make sense. Then they wait a beat and resume properly.
Anyone wanna confirm?
And not to forget the opening line of that track, 'You don't know what it is, ya s**t!'

as the gigs with Mark there,
he may not be the best guitar player in the world
but he had such passion, and that makes the difference!

I was going to bring that up, possibly in another thread, about the gigs with and without Marx. The bootlegs are certainly two different bands--with Marx you have a more layered sound, you have the color work of the two guitars and it's awesome. But there's also something to be said of the stripped-down sound with just Hussey assuming the duties. It's a pretty admirable job, truth be told.

thing every night they played, only Bremen stands out a bit.
Hussey may be a better quitar player, but he lacks of passion
and imagination, Mark can make a song sound fragile and storming
at the same moment..
and the songs just don t sound the same every night..
