Help - being driven mad at work

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

One of my colleagues, already legendary for her ability to talk for 100 years at a stretch without breathing, is surpassing herself.

Since I started at 6am I heard almost nothing for four hours other than endless self-righteous prattle coming from the other end of the office.

It is getting to the point where it's starting to affect my ability to work. And that's without getting bogged down into the Guardian-reading sanctimonious piety that's trying to mask her inner Daily-Mail-reader.

My p*ss is being steadily boiled and I'm looking vain for a solution that won't cost me my job.
