First of all, if this topic has already been covered in the dim n distant past, I apologise (it's the kinda thing that has probably already been discussed before).
Two blokes just came on BBC radio two, talking about their autograph shop (in London somewhere). these parasites hassle celebs for their signiture, then sell those scribblings on for squillions of pounds.
Anyways, it got me thinking- how much do Sisters autographs usually sell for?
95% of Sisters autos that I see on ebay are just by Von, so I bet a 'band' autograph would be highly prized. I assume the value differs depending on the line-up?
Do any of you lot own a cool set of Sisters autographs? Did any of you ever pay through the nose for a cigarette packet with 'Ben Gunn' scribbled on it in pencil? Or did anyone actually bump into the band, and ask them to sign?
How much do you reckon each line-up's atographs are worth?
Quite a nerdy question, I know, but I'm just curious, and since I'm new to the Sisters, I thought I'd ask the 'experts' (ie you 'orrible lot!)
Cheers

I got a copy of the Tour Thing brochure for around six pounds on ebay. I then got a signed (by Von) copy of the brochure for around five pounds. Go Figure...

I've got the Temple Of Love 92 CD signed by Craig Adams (yeah I know, doesn't quite make any sense why I got that one signed...)

Got a copy of Above The Chemist signed by Andy.
Would be interested in seeing how much that would fetch on eBay.

If it's dressed up nicely, the book alone seems to go for at least 25 quid these days, so I would say anything upwards of 40 quid, and possibly a lot higher with a nice picture and blurb...shivarising wrote:Got a copy of Above The Chemist signed by Andy.

They were sold autographed at concerts which most likely means they all have the autograph (those sold by mail order etc...), unless I'm mistaken.shivarising wrote:Got a copy of Above The Chemist signed by Andy.

I bought the last 2 available copies at Dour '97 festival and both were autographed and most people I know of that have a copy confirmed the autograph ... anyone out there who has the original print with the awful -coloured outer sleeve

I got mine through the Reptile House just after the paperback was released. Couldn't afford the 25 quid for the hardback edition. Really wish I had now!Hojyuu-obi wrote:They were sold autographed at concerts which most likely means they all have the autograph (those sold by mail order etc...), unless I'm mistaken.shivarising wrote:Got a copy of Above The Chemist signed by Andy.

I've got a 7" of Walk Away signed in gold ink by the whole band. Plus various cryptic comments like 'Andrew Goldman is a very lonely boy' and 'Ha ha ha bonk.' Which was about as much sense as anyone was going to get out of them at the time.

So much for my assumption then Perhaps the hard cover copies sold at gigs alone where hand signed who knows, i do know that all autographs look quite the same perhaps made with an autograph machine type deviceMrChris wrote:Not all the copies of Postcards are autographed, alas. I'm trying to sell something to Mr Whammy at the moment, might ask him to sign my 2003 boots! Sure he wouldn't mind. Mmm.

This is the 5th time I've been asked about the beautiful Luba in the past 2 weeks.
Just search for Hegre Archives and her name.

IIRC the picture of Mad Mel is from one of the last UTR issues; an exclusive photoshoot for UTR no doubt
