Does anyone out here acknowledge the thesis that Sisters gigs are more intense when they are artificially enhanced? I mean.... went to see my first Sisters gig in 1991. sober.. kind of... second one was with some stimulation...... completely different story..... tunnel vision and the scars to prove it... never looked back after that one...

Artificial enhancement has never worked for me, my Body & Soul doesn't take to it very well
Sisters gigs always have a strange, peculiar atmosphere imho, sober or not sober ...

All the good things in life are better when helped a little. The problem is that all the bad things are much, much worse.

Early gigs, hmmm, sulphate al the way...never even noticed the songs were too fast till we listened to our taes days later....
bloody good at the time though!
Every musical movement has its drug of choice...
In the midlands it went like this:-
Ska - Glue
Metal - Beer
Goth - Sulphate.....yum
etc
etc
Still - too old, family now etc etc....

remember some english blokes who went to Amsterdam 93 to watch the sisters, but the got stuck inside a cofe shop and never made it to the gig. Conclusion ?
coffe shops never blend well with sisters gigs
me and some mates got into a trans europe excess back in 93 in Germany. Many gigs, to much speed, to much trains, no sleep at all. Took months to recover from that trip mentally

The Sisters live are always a wonderful experience, however altered your state.
My "enhancement" of choice would be a great many Berkley Menthol cigarettes (coz I know how much Quiffy just lurves those particular ciggies), smoked in rapid succession. There is nothing quite like that rush of cheap tobacco and nicotine to the head, heart, lungs and knees.
