I have to concur with Thrash a bit though, it did start to bore me after a while.

its all right. :|

he's not the best writer in the world, and he can draw some bizzare conclusions at times, but he was there, and as a chronological account of how a group of bands emerged almost simultaniously and formed a "scene", its interesting.

I read it and found it fairly entertaining. As Quiffy said, he's not a great writer, (and his line on goth is all over the place) but it's a competent summary of a fairly engaging history, so it's got to be worth a tenner.
