went to the cinema to see "28 days later" on saturday.
its like a cross between "night of the living dead", stephen king's "the stand", "lord of the flies" and 60s tv show "the prisoner"... very cool, and quite a head-f**k
in short, its rather f**king good! it manages to be claustrophobic, oppressing, dramatic, very very dark, and slightly comedic all at the same time. watching the main character's feelings of isolation and utter incomprehension at what has happened turn to hopelessness, anger, and then to thoughts of revenge as the film progresses is incredible.
its a fantastic idea for a film, and is very well executed.
me like!
note: try and see it when there's not many other people a the cinema. or get it on dvd when it comes out... the impact is much better when you dont have a bunch of kids shagging on the back row...

I don't wanna live like I don't mind
The title sounds familiar. I rented a DVD a year ago with that title (if I'm not completly lost here). A UK film. All people were dead except for one guy.Quiff Boy wrote:went to the cinema to see "28 days later" on saturday.

nice movie.
the best thing about it was the fact it wasn't such a 'good'/conventional' movie.
it playd with your mind at some moments

Not a bad film at all.
Mr Eccleston playing himself as usual. He's a virtual Pete Postlethwaite isn't he?

Except that he will now appear as the next Doctor Who with popstarlet Billy as his side-kick. Why Richard E. Grant didn't get the job I still don't understand. Not that I will be watching it anyway of course - i've got BBC4 now.Chairman Bux wrote:He's a virtual Pete Postlethwaite isn't he?

Sounds like it has an 'Invaision Of The Body Snatchers' original screenplay or remake ending, no?

@christophe vampires from outer space kinda sums it up
@CP I think that was the point, make a Hammer style movie in the aftermath of Star Wars etc.
