There's probably a post about this somewhere else but dammit

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Sigur Ros are great. Got () and Aegatis Brygatum (sp?). Top chill-out stuff. Also picked up an album of rock by Minus when I was in Reykjavik last year, and a compilation of releases on the Bad Taste label which is currently on my desk in the office. Might just have a quick listen.

Some very good stuff there, some very bad. Never dull, though.

What are M'um like? And, for lovers of lame gags, have they gone to Iceland?

My mate in Seattle put me onto M'um .. only got a couple of tracks but I like very much, when I'm in the mood. They apparently wrote the music for young children originally and it is very naive music but interesting all the same. Sigur Ros have their critics - lot of people think they are way too pretentious but hell, who isn't these days! Not being able to understand one facking word they say has its merits too!

May I also recommend Mew?

I haven't taken () off my car stereo for the past 2 months. Absolutely fantastic album.

I'm gonna buy all 4 Sigur Ros albums after next payday.
