The Long Weekend

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Four days away from Hell!

I shall be trying to maintain a comfortable state of oblivion. :D

I just sent Burn a whole bunch of the Killers that I downloaded for him off soulseek. Maybe you'll run into him at one of the gigs, I know he's got tics. Give him a kiss for me if you do. A big wet sloppy one, or lol maybe just a hug. :D

I get three and a half days off, starting tomorrow. Whoo-hoo! It's timely as well, cos me and the housemates have been having a round of parties this week and I'm feeling a bit wrecked--time to recouperate.

Do I run around the gig yelling 'BURN, BURN, BURN!' d'ya reckon. Can see me being escorted from the premesis and having my lighter confiscated ;)

Burn? Which gigs are you at...wear summatz distinguishable (or extinguishable, ) I may hug but no tongues , ok?

Having read a review of the Liverpool gig - they have now well and truly hit the 'girlie teen' market (bra thrown on stage no less). Which is lovely for them I suppose.

Think we may be at the back from now on.

My plan. Tonight: Get drunk. Tomorrow: Get drunk. Sunday: Get drunk. Monday: Nurse the mother of all hangovers.

Big Si will no doubt tell me it was a great day out and I should have persevered, but...

I managed to last through about 5 songs from the opening act The James Orr Complex ( :urff: ), before being accosted by a (admittedly rather tasty) Hungarian Gouranga Nun trying to convince me that "any loose change" I had would be a fair swap for a Hare Krishna book.

Not long after this I decided that (1) the music was just not my cup of tea (i.e. sh!t), and (2) a 6-hour outdoor concert in the grounds of the Botanical Gardens is not a top day out for a hayfever-sufferer...

I went home.

Maybe next time...

The line-up didn't appeal to me either Steven, at least the weather was good :D

It was sunny all right!

Hot babes in t-shirts and shorts...

Kids playing in the park...

Ice-cream...

Hooray for global warming!
