Thanks for the heads up. I will let others get their fill first. I have some other stuff on the way and do not wish to be greedy. Besides, Black Planet surely will be pushing to the front of the line if she can.ryan_w_0000 wrote:http://www.myheartland.co.uk/viewtopic. ... 7324#87324Petseri wrote:Ryan:

I have a source already lined up...
How large is the file. If it's only around 40mb-or-so (and not a stupid big-ass 200mb mpg2 file) you could send it me through yahoo messenger or msn or something and I'll upload it to yousendit.com (hosts files for 7 days, good speed, unlimited bandwidth) for everyone to download.
Soulseek, hmmm...ryan_w_0000 wrote:i wouldnt rely on my msn atm
what about soulseek? (and yes its around 40 mb)
{wandering off at a tangent}
A couple of years ago when I was trying to send a file to someone they suggested soulseek. I downloaded it - it was a very primitive looking thing, hopefully it's improved since then (it looked like I was running it in dos!). They got me to type in an ip (which I had to type in every time as the stupid thing didn't seem to save it in settings) to connect to the "depeche hub"(whatever the hell that is) where I was promptly banned for not sharing enough files - the stupid thing didn't give me a chance - i'd only just installed it. To make a long story even longer I then emailed the 10mb file only for it to be returned to me IN FULL because the mailserver didnt accept files that size. I then .rar'ed it into several smaller files which the recipient was unable to combine. I think I sent it over msn in the end. Not a pleasant experience - I was on 56k dialup at the time too.
{/wandering off at a tangent}
I'm reluctant to try soulseek as it was so user unfriendly 2 years ago, unless someone can tell me it's not the piece of crap it was 2 years ago.
Oh no it's to you my friend, for making this possible!ryan_w_0000 wrote:
Actually 'No time To Cry' has at least had some sort of official release. I remember back in the 80s I found it on one on those music compilation things in a video hire shop in Morley, from which I copied it...
It was Walk Away and was released on the WH Smiths video collection tape in 1984, i have a perfect mint copy, and will probaby be ebaying it along with the rest of my SOM collection sometime soon
