I was looking at this pic (below) of AE taken in 2003 and it looks as if he might be wearing a wedding ring. Anyone heard anything about this? Is this old news?

I would have done something, but I was overwhelmed by a lack of concern.

He never really talks about his family does he? I get the impression there was some tension there.Black Horizon wrote:Maybe it's his Mother's or Father's. If someone dies, their Son's or Daughter's tend to wear the Wedding Ring in memory of them.
Having said that, I don't think many parents would be too chuffed with their son a) leaving Oxford uni to go to Leeds and then b) leaving Leeds uni to be in a rock-band

Andy said in an interview years ago that he stopped having anything to do with his parents. Whether that has since changed, I don't know. I suppose it can difficult when you reinvent yourself.

There was a interview in UTR, don t remeber which issue right
now, from his answers it s obvious that he dosen t have the
best relations with his parents or his brother and sister.

It's interesting, the family angle. I mean, what can you conclude when someone says they stopped 'having anything to do' with their family? He did mention he has 'one of each', brother and sister.
There is an interview online, I'm sure some of you have read it, from a radio station (about '93, I believe) where Von is on the car phone, and mentions he hasn't seen his mother in 15 years. (The DJ was asking abotu what he would get his mother for Christmas, etc.)
It is intriguing, and there's obviously something there, maybe some resentment or something.
Similar to a Jim Morrison situation, also the son of an army brat, a well-spoken and excessive rocker who completely transformed in his early 20s into a 'rock God'.

I think he said once it's all because he didn't follow the career path they had laid out for him.

I always though the ring might be something to do with Clare.
Tends to disappear when he's got a girlfriend.
As for marriage, one get's the impression that AE is searching not so
much for Miss Right as Miss Right Now!
That, and in true rock star fashion, as he gets older the women stay the
same age!

A bit embarassing when he's 70 (diabetes/drugs/smoking/alcohol/life) permitting, surely?
But with his riches, shades of Dirk Bogarde (sp?) and I can't remember the films name ...?
