Pixies at Move this evening

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Was going to add this to the 'encores' thread but decided it deserved a new one. Thinking of bands not taking the encore seriously I remember the Pixies doing their set backwards once, starting with the encores, going off after each one then coming back on to run the main set backwards to the beginning. Oh (barely concealed glee over the contrived link) and speaking of the Pixies we shall be landing in Manchester about 1:30 for them this afternoon! Then flooding out with the rest of the crowds during the Stereophonic's set, or sooner if we can manage it...
I am a Leeds United fan because I was very naughty in a previous life.

Ah! It's Gripper! Long time no hear. I quite like the 'Phonics myself. And Travis. And Coldplay. Not too keen on the bits of Radiohead I've heard though. Am I missing the point?
And you know that she's half crazy but that's why you want to be there.

I saw the Pixies this week ( 06-07-2004) in the Heineken Music Hall, Amsterdam.
And it was great, I think they played about 25 songs.

They have released also a new song called "Bam Thwok" with Kim Deal on vocals.

The Pixies.....*sigh* and HOW shocked were the crowd when Mr Black actually SPOKE!!!!

Bestist bits? Cactus (frikkin brilliant) and Here comes your man (simply stunning) Oh and Joey giving it some with the drum stick.

Another bestist bit....knowing the tee shirt sellers had missed the boat by not being outside the gates after The Pixies set, instead choosing to wait til after the whole gig! HA HA HA HA HA HA

Glad to know the Stereophonics fans had PLENTY of room to see their heroes..... Oh and Tim Booth's little comment was worth a chuckle.

Nice to see you again JC - as we said, if you stand still you''re more likely to find the people you're looking for.

just watched them play Bone Machine and Broken Face, live at T-In The Park
most excellent to see the 40+s being baldy and proud, fat and out there, Mumsy looking, yet rocking and relevant :notworthy:
