Night Bus Follies

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

What can I say? Seven Sisters (by all accounts, exceptionally rough) is not a very nice place to be waiting, alone and for an hour and a half, for a bus that seemingly has no intention of ever arriving. Especially when one has purposely quit festivities early to ensure a seamless tube ride to the outer reaches of the East (signal failures and other frequent service interruptions notwithstanding, of course). An excerpt:

Strange Man, who obviously stopped with the sole aim of chatting me up: Don't you know how gorgeous you are, blue eyes, walk around the corner with me (that's a classic that is), etc etc, blah blah...

Me: I'm not taking you home. Walk away.

SM: (won't shut the hell up, and keeps begging for my cigarettes)

Me: (answers tersely in the interest of diplomacy, glad the area is reasonably well populated)

Woman-child who's just exited a different bus, to wait at my stop: (to me) Do you have a cigarette?

Me: Hell no. Yer man smoked all of 'em.

Child: (to SM) Do you know her? Stop talking to her! Don't fucking talk to her!

SM: Why should she talk to you? You don't know her!

Child: (direct quote) I'm a child and can't do nothing to her! You're a man and can do something to her!!!

Me: (stays silent also in the interest of diplomacy, but recognizes the child has a valid point--stares into distance hoping to catch glimpse of fabled night bus, and eventually does)

Bloody 'ell. Where are the palace guards when you need them?

i constantly find weird people starting conversations with me on the 11:59 train at night..half the conversation is begging for money/ciggerettes etc and the other half consists o

* talking about when their arrested

* how they beg

* drugs

but i find that their so drunk that they eventually walk away and sleep in the corner after 5 minutes

"expecting" what? a baby?

Generally...i don't get strange people coming up to me late at night and starting a conversation while drunk etc...i do get the cursory glance and aproach but they tend to back off and think about trying out someone else...

last night (thursday 8th July) i was attending a Killers show in London village (Astoria to be precise)...for those who know it or have been there you'll know that outside after a show there tends to be a lot of strange people hanging around with flyers and advertising crap to hand out to the masses...only one of them offered me a flyer...and she was ever so polite about it...so i accepted the flyer...read it...discarded it with in 30 seconds at the entrance to the tube station...my two friends who had never been to the Astoria before were a little more weary around all the strange people...they had thrust upon them every kind of flyer going...

what am i doing wrong?...
Dim, through the misty panes and thick green light,
As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.

Oh puh-leeze. I was posting nonsense when TC was but an inadvertent glimmer in his "uncle's" eye. Plus, my nonsense is true.

So all I have to say to that is: I don't remember seeing a harelip.
