Gig Croydon this friday for all you Goth n metal types

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Well reminded. Might be up for that. Enjoyed the bits I heard on the website.

On a related gigging note, did anyone go to any of Nightwish's UK gigs?

Saw them at the Astoria on Friday and they were terrific!

Tarja was particularly lovely

NFD in Norwich on August 3? Or did I miss something?

Sounds promising. Bit of a school night, but I'm owed some time off so something could be worked out.

Getting out of Norfolk should be fine .... clearing Suffolk as well could be dodgy! The A12 scares me once it gets beyond Colchester.

I just get frustrated by driving northwards for so long and ending up nowhere near my northern heartlands.

It were all coal-mines and decaying heavy industry round there when I were a lad /sniff/

@ Emily Strange : Mr. Snowey and I will be venturing into the Norfolk wilds to see t'Mish on the 3rd. Sensibly of course, we got the tickets ages ago, but still haven't sorted out what we'll actually be staying  . If you've got any recommendations for Norwich, they would be gratefully accepted!

And we're going to see them at Nottingham.

And before anybody says anything, we are looking forward to it! So there!

I'm led to believe the venue isn't a million miles away from the station either?

Is that a subtle way of asking for a lift? Not a problem, assuming I can get recovery time off work the next day. (I'm very lazy about these things)

I take it there's no urgent need to buy tickets in advance for this extravaganza?

Can you pick up my friend in Poringland too? he loves suprises :innocent:
just knock on his door and say "Lucien said you should come with us", bundle him in the back over the car and drive off to the gig.

Be warned he's very good at Thai kickboxing and stuff like that.
