Sisters and Public Enemy

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Hey!
Maybe I miss the right UTR issue, maybe I havn't read them carefully enough (just tell me), maybe I have forgotten anything - anyway, I can't find the answer to a very simple question - how many Sisters & Public Enemy gigs were cancelled and how many really took place :?:
Sorry if it's a very stupid question

It was a 21 date tour but they only played 12 dates, the rest were cancelled. According to the gigography (scroll down to July'91) Public Enemy only played at 9 of the shows though, not all 12.

thanks :notworthy:
my problem was - to believe the official gigography or not? it doesn't mean that I don't trust Sisters  but I wasn't sure is the name of Public Enemy noted related to all gigs they HAD TO perform or to those they did it DE FACTO.

I don't trust the sisters gigography either. There's a few things missing. I know for certain that it was a 21 date tour with 12 dates played and the rest cancelled. I assume the info of which bands played at which date is correct, as if they weren't sure they'd just have listed the same lineup for every one. I seem to remember they took it in turns to be the headline act though I can't be sure as I can't remember where I read it.
