I always wanted a clarinet or an oboe instead of a flute at first. Wouldn't mind a go at a saxophone either
Was told I'd have to learn the clarinet before being allowed anywhere near a saxophone, at school ( Noah was just about to gather the wood together for a project he was starting), managed a whole 6 months and thought 'bugger this for a game of soldiers'
Can usually get a tune or sound from most instruments I pick up...but to actually 'play' them...well that would take effort and practise...a thing Debasers don't do.
I can toot a recorder rather well mind you Belle and Sebastian, anyone?

Mainly Guitars and pretty much anything with strings on it.
Used to be able to play the piano when I was a kid, can't remember how now though. Can't even read music anymore.
And I used to play the trumpet as well. Decided it was s**t though.

i can play the pc, which in turn can play drum machines and synths
i can also hit E on a bass guitar very, very fast whilst holding it very, very low. which was always enough for being in a goth band
i can also pluck (badly) a few sisters riffs on a geeter, but nowt you'd want to play in public.
thinking of having either guitar or keyboard lessons as i have so many ideas for tunes but its frustrating not being able to actually play the damn things i want to write
and i've always fancied being able to walk into a room, see an instrument and pickit up and play it.

What’s the difference between a buffalo and a bison?
Mr Debaser (Ebay slut) purchased a set of drums a few months back (his earlier foray into drum ownership was quashed after two days by my goodself )
Not content in thrashing them to within an inch of their lives...he's just bought (bloody Ebay) a set of mikes to 'enhance' the sound.
p.s. Can anyone tell me exactly how many cybals (frickin Ebay) are needed before it's classed as an obession?

Although "Play" may be a bit strong for what I do to mine.

I can make a sort of farting noise with the palms of my hands. It's very impressive. When you're nine years old and want to be in your brothers' gang.
And you know that she's half crazy but that's why you want to be there.

What's all this grade this & grade that when talking about instruments?
You mean you had music at SCHOOL?
Wow. It's a whole nother world.
I used to be able to bring a guitar around to my way of thinking, but I haven't for a long time. So I probably can't now.
They are still best though, after singing, which is pure physicality if done right.

But if you did music at my school you had to buy the instrument first & pay extra for lessons. Which wasn't an option for me at the time.

There are some around MF, but you ain't one.
I took lessons for guitar when I was a kid. But never really kept it going.
When I was 20, me and a friend was thinking about taking lessons again, but we never did

I can play my distortion pedal pretty well, but woe betide anyone who switches it off with the guitar still twanging.
