Doom 3

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I am thinking about "Doom 3" but I have decided, in my infinite wisdom, to wait for "Half Life 2" - 24/09/04 :-)

I loved Doom on playstation to bits. I thought they were doing it on X-BOX too, can't be doing with these PC games and what have you. I need something new to play. Played Morrowind within an inch of its life

Half Life was the only one of those games I ever dabbled with. A few years ago I was working in an office full of IT contractors getting paid 35 quid an hour with nothing else to do except play multi-user Doom 2. I declined to join in cos I'm crap at it and didn't want to be constantly humiliated. So I started surfing the net instead and discovered Eldritch hadn't died in 1985 after all.
And you know that she's half crazy but that's why you want to be there.

I need a new PC before I get Doom3, although I've had HL2 on order since the middle of last year...

Currently playing Battlefield 1942 Desert Combat 0.7 mod. I can't fly the damn helicopters to save my life though.

Me, I can't play anything that requires you to do anything more than click on what you want to kill. I'm currently playing Starcraft Broodwar. I think it's important to keep with the times.

Give me a nice, simple, vertical-scrolling shoot-em-up any day. With big weapons pack extensions.

Raiden, on an arcade console, was king. Always and forever.
