Nick Cave gig

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Just booked my ticket to see Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds in London on 11th November (the previous night had already sold out!). I'm a very happy boy. :D

(just waiting for the new double album due out in September)

after years of listening to the Sisters, you kinda get used to guitarists leaving, though. :innocent:

The first person that says "for a change" gets a kick.

Lets be fair, if Mick Harvey left then the Seeds would be in trouble, after all, 30 years of playing sidekick to Old Nick has to count for something...

As for Blixa, the man is Fantastic, a class musician with a wicked sense of humour, and after the Albert Hall gigs a few years back when he did the 'Kylie Bit' on Wild Roses...too camp for words....

If I was gonna play devils advocate, i might say something like this:

AE : Patricia was some one to hold the Bass Guitar...

NC : Blixa was employed beceause he could make a guitar sound like a strangled horse....

Either way, we are off to see the seeds at Wolves on the wifes Birthday so Hussar For Us!!!!

Any chance to see em, we gotta go!

( a few years back we even put up with Glasto Cr@p and Sh1t for four days just to see the Seeds, and the best about that was they played ABOVE Bob Dylan...Hah!!!)

So enuff already with the "not been the same since....." I've been watching this guy play in dear old blighty for nearly a quarter of a century, he just gets better, and.....

.....he still releases Albums. Get the idea Von?????

I've always wanted to see Nick Cave plus the Bad Seeds.
Caught the man himself a few years back playing a solo gig in Princess Street Gardens in Edinburgh. Nick at the piano, the guy from The Dirty Three (Warren Ellis?) on violin and some woman on bass. Rather lovely but strange at the same time - The Mercy Seat re-arranged as a torch ballad!

Might have to dig out my flexible friend and take a trip down to Glasgow.
You are what you drink - I'm a bitter man!
