Bands Reunited

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Been quite enjoying the Bands reunited show on VH1 at the mo, Last night they showed the Berlin one and the FGTH one.

So I wonder if they ever thingh of reuniting the original sisters (as in AE, BG, GM, CA) lineup?

Be well good if they did

Well, stranger things could happen. Like a new album, for instance. Bets on which will happen first?
I would have done something, but I was overwhelmed by a lack of concern.

Well having a 1 hour TV show based on TSOM will give the bands far more exposure than any new album release is likely to get in this current climate.

Mr E would consider it "beneath" him though.

Sorry, British idiom. He would think that the idea was beneath him.

All you really need for a 25th Anniversary line up is Gary Marx and Craig Adams - Ben Gunn was added later. Besides, he's long since ceased to be involved in music AFAIK.

What about Andrew playing drums and Gary on guitars and vocals?

Naa Getting Ben Gunn Back would make it fre more of an event, like several of the bands reunited shows, have had band members that gave up music years ago but still got it togther none the less.

Yeah, he'd get all arsey, and start banging on about how the Sisters 'never split up'; and how they're still going, how the current incarnation of the band is the strongest ever, etc.

No way would he accept that the Sisters of Mercy WERE:

Craig Adams
Andrew Eldritch
Ben Gunn
(or That Guitarist. but let's not open that can of worms)
Gary Marx
They split up in '85. The current Sisters are just Von's touring lackeys.
FACT.

I Disagree the 1990-1992 line up was a definitive band too
