WTF!
The Nephilim gigging.
Why didn't I know? :?: :?: :!:
I was supposed to know.
Words must be had with people.
But bloody hell, even The Nephs couldn't tempt me to go to Belgium.

@Muppet;Totally agree with you about Mourning Sun,although it took a bit of time for me to get into it,I now rate it as much as the old stuff.
And yes I do see your point with Tool. And I would say both Tool and Neph influences are pretty similar in a great many respects.Motorhead influences(and maybe even more so Hawkwind) are evident with both bands.

@Mokarran;Forget it geezer.I can get so far up my own arse,at times, that only the soles of my feet are visible

And I'm with Wild Bill; goth-in-denial and/or goth bashing is so 90s. ;)
Your right for the 2000's Ginger bashing is all the rage... :P

In a class presentation, Cartman argues that "Gingers"—those with red hair, freckles and pale skin—are different and evil. They suffer from "gingervitis." He also argues that they cannot stand the sun, and that Kyle Broflovski, who has red hair—is a "daywalker", a half-ginger (an apparent reference to the movie Blade).

The Sisters have to be my favourite band of all time.

However, I also have traveled distance over time to see

The Neph
The Ramones
UK Subs
Sham 69
Anti Nowhere League
Zodiac Mindwarp and the Love Reaction
Motorhead
James Ray's Gangwar
Laibach
Morrissey
New Model Army
The Lurkers
Sex Pistols
AC/DC
far too many others.

And I would have loved to see The Jesus and Mary Chain

There are some bands I wouldn't watch if they were playing in my back garden. But this isn't the thread for that.

Yeah, I saw them during the Psychocandy tour, and they were truly amazing. Stands out as one of my all-time fave shows.

Well, here's a frown upon question....

PS

I'd say ROBERT SMITH and THE CURE
But they are NOT the same category...

I'd say that
Andrew and The Sisters are the category of their/his own.

PS

Even when compared to Sean Brennan or early Wayne or that Nephilim geezer...

Got there before you.

That said, if Eldritch starts the next tour by coming on stage after "Afterhours" and singing "Psychodalek, Psychodalek, Psychodalek, out there...", I may have to reconsider.

Swedish punk icon, singer/songwriter, rockstar and God... Joakim Thåström. Before he released his most recent album, "Skebokvarnsv. 209", he was on par with TSOM in my book. Now he's ahead.

Thåström haven't made alot of music in english, but he was the leader of the hard hitting industrial group "Peace, love and pitbulls" during the 90s. That's great music, however not very representative at all.

...and this is a quote from Sisters official homepage: "Andrew will shake his tailfeather for" ... "Peace Love And Pitbulls: Peace Love And Pitbulls". And Thåström is a TSOM fan aswell.

I intend to write another post sometime, I guess there must be more local heroes out there who are fantastic, but working in a language that narrows the audiene. Then I'll make some sample mp3s available.

(At times Einstürzende neubauten can be on par with TSOM aswell... but only at times...)
