Look we've got maximum points and not conceded a goal. And the krauts got to the final in 2002 playing like a bunch of spaccas.I'm still optomistic.
BTW if Steve Bruce happens to be reading HL tonight,Can we have Stern John back?I'm sure Coventry'll swap him for Heskey.

As both teams obviously cant play football, they settled for beating up each other.

So you'd miss David Pleats classic line of :"...since the U.S.A have been down to 9 Men, they've been forced to play a 3-4-3 formation"

hee.. no... i chortled about that a lot. we turned over as the free kick was being taken after sending off.
brazil didn't really deserve to win, did they?

Not at all. I would've loved to see an Ozy victory.

Certainly...this was the game to achieve that.
They should be able to make it to the next round though. One point against Croatia is enough.

Unless Japan beat Brazil by more than two goals...
OK, one point against Croatia is enough.

AFAIK in that case the result of Oz - Japan counts and not the total of goals (for and against).

I noticed that they are not really a team. The atmosphere isn't that great me think...
Argentina has got the best team I guess.

Oh, right. I had thought it would be goal difference first.

Isn't this crazy how the journalists keep telling us we have some of the best players in the world and still they can't play together ? Or maybe they just don't care. This is a mediocre team at best, and not a very entertaining one.
On the other hand, the basketball French championship final at Paris Bercy yesterday was quite groovy.

Some of these best players act very snobbish by ignoring younger teammates and just do the things the way they like, backing each others backs. I saw some subsitutes though who played quite well. Not lazy and spoiled but proud to represent their country and giving everything to win the game.
