Legendary Cult movies you never got...

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Animal Farm - I just don't get it. Having said that I've only seen it once, does it get better like some albums after a few plays...?

THE EXORCIST....
Nearly fell asleep. So dull.

2001
Like others have said; really really boring. Ok, there are a few good bits, but on the whole, <yawn>

And indeed, ROCKY HORROR.... don't mind the plot or the acting part of it, but the songs just make me want to go and listen to Big Black.

more recently...

THE VILLAGE
Turned it off half way through. Couldn't be arsed to find out what the 'joke' was. Then found out what the 'joke' was. jeeesssuuusss, glad I didn't stick around to find out.... utter crap.

Ah yes, The Exorcist. What utter nonsense. I cannot understand how that had people running out the cinemas to churches. The, uh, harrumph, scene with the cross actually made me giggle… something not quite right about that.

edit - oh yes, and the movie gave me the greatest insult known to man (tiny to protect sensitive eyes): "your mother sucks c*ck in hell, gurgle, gurgle, gurgle."

I changed that at school.. "Your mother spins leeks in hell!"

..it was funny at the time.

Just remembered ... The Blair Witch Project. Utter, utter shite.

Well, not shite exactly, just hugely over-hyped and over-rated.

The Emperor's new clothes...

And Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, for the same reasons as above.

Decent film, but there are a thousand other Hong Kong movies out there that do the same thing, but better.

Some people need a ban and a good stabbing!

The Exorcist might as well be the best horror movie EVER (horror, not psy thrillers, because then we are talking Hitchcock)!

Tho II and III are not as good, you can rant about them all you want.

And when you fall asleep while watching The Exorcist, there is just a lot you can't see, IMO. It is tension, from beginning to end, made me sleep with the lights on for a while week, first time I saw it.

And there are NOT much horror movies that have that effect on me, I pride myself in that ;)

'The Blair Witch Project', well I understand that people don't dig it. I really liked it at first, because it was a very low budget movie, but hey, it WORKED for me ;) Not the second one tho... but I have that with most sequels... they all suck big time.
